Mages and dragons and demons, oh my!
I very much like the story line of this series. The characters are well developed and easy to like or dislike. Images are easily brought to mind from the words on the page. My only complaint is the editing…or lack thereof. Spelling errors are a pet peeve of mine. Examples to instead of two; then insted of than; hulled instead of pulled. I suspect that transcription software may have been used to write the series. If so, that would explain incorrect word usage that spell check will not catch. That said, I got used to editing as I read and didn't allow it to detract from my enjoyment of the story.
Excellent story...made me want to continue reading the series.
not my kind of book did not finish it
I started at book one and I'm now working on book four. I'm enjoying the series. I will continue to read this series to it's conclusion.
Sorry but I'm not into Fantasy as much as Sci-Fi so don't take my opinion too much too heart. This was very readable but not my cup of tea.
I purchased this because I really enjoy Mr. Beery's Catherine Kimbridge series. This series is not as interesting nor is it as fast paced. I will probably read the next and see what goes from there. I judge Fantasy/Magic genre by Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn series. This is not on that par.
This was the first part of an enjoyable fantasy that has interesting concepts with good action. It was a little confusing in the beginning and could have used more fleshing out of the basic storyline, but overall is an enjoyable read.
